Workshop Overview

Whilst OpenView Consultancy provide a wide range of formalised training courses and modules, we have had great success providing Workshop style training.

This type of training is more "open ended" in that we don't rigidly follow a set course flow. Instead we provide commercial publications to each delegate relevant to the subject which we reference at various stages throughout the workshop.

Examples of such Workshops are available by clicking here.

Our workshops offer the customer a much more "hands on" type of course. Generally the split of lab / lecture time is about 85% lab to 15% lecture.

Also we have found that putting a greater emphasis on the practical aspect and making the delegates discover solutions, makes for a much improved learning experience.

To gain the greatest benefit from a workshop style of training it is essential the delegates meet the required pre-requisites and are more than capable of working without having a step by step howto.

Companies benefit hugely from our onsite workshops as the course is exactly what they want. We have had great success and feedback from clients who have utilised this training method.

It goes without saying that the cost benefits associated with a workshop are greater. If we take as an example a formalised 5 day training course from a major vendor consisting of 20 chapters. On average at least one day of this may not be relevant to what an individual wants, even delegates from the same company may have different objectives.

A workshop environment gives each delegate the opportunity to explore an area in as much details as they feel they require within the time scales. This type of approach gives the maximum return on a training investment budget.
